The Holy Bible is a vortex.
It is impossible to explain how consuming it is,
Impossible to explain how restoring it is.
Its cyclical nature is felt,
Not rationalized.
Its content is for all,
Adults and children alike;
Its truth both complex and simple.
You can come back to it again and again,
And still not understand,
And still not have fully explored its depth,
Yet walk away with light and newfound sight.
It sweeps you into a whirlpool;
Some swim, some dive, some dance.
None return ashore unchanged.
The Holy Bible is a vortex.
