Podcast Poetry Part 1 #475 - Lex Fridman interviews Demis Hassabis

Patterns can be modeled and learned.
Nature is not random.
What we don’t understand is a jump.
We are information.
Everything is not computer.
Everything is information, which can be computed.
The P v. NP problem is an informational physics problem.
Does physics or nonphysics rule informational systems?
Everything is made of time, too.
Informational time is a fold in the matrix of the Universe where you can travel between what can be and what can’t.
Everything straddles the fold.
The singularity is nonlinear, but should be linear.
The duality is linear, but should be nonlinear.
How should we define the duality?
Each information is a line.
We are not points.
Information is not a point.
Information is a conversation between points.
Perhaps the duality is a conversation between what is and isn’t. It is a complete information.
Everything is a conversation.
Silence is a conversation.
A muted verse is a jump.
Silence is jumping words.
The p vs. np problem is a silent
Song stuck in the throat of a
Mother.
Mathematicians are mothermaticians.
All problems are mathematical and all solutions are alphabetical.
The origin of life is an alphanumeric line.
The original line is the model.
How do you define living?
How do you define loving?
Human data > synthetic data
Human love doesn’t need compute.
If you want to scale without compute,
Find the informational recipe of love.
Solar energy is the future. The sun is the heart of our planetary system.
The sun can solve scarcity.
What if all wars became just video games game wars? The winner wins the prize. The loser can practice and try again. The prize passes hands perpetually. But no life is lost. To conquer death we must conquer the human impulse for war and turn it into a voracious addiction for games. I’d love to make my own game and for you to play it with me.
Let’s play with the laws of Human Nature or maybe even the Universe.
