More devils would spring.

 

When flowers pick themselves

Because they feel that no one else

Will pick them,

The devils laugh

And God is forced to bring a season.

 

A “self-love” that breaks the chain of harmony

With the given ground of God.

A flower lost because it wanted

To reach the sky.

A floral Icarus.

 

How to sleep down the Devil,

Into a mere dream?

How to wake up to God,

When evil permeates?

 

How to be a good flower

And not be picked?

Chosen are we who come

In the name of the Lord.

Chosen by somebody else.

 

When flowers pick themselves,

The devils rejoice.

But God will love you still.

 

There is a God awake

Who longs for your blooming,

Your open petals an embrace,

A sky reach that won’t burn,

Because you didn’t pick yourself

But were picked,

Picked to stay.

 

How to flower again,

After a spring?

Even if the Devil doesn’t stop.

How to wake up to God?

 

Even if the Devil stops.

If even the Devil stops,

You are God’s alibi.
