Aspiration

Hope and Breath in one word.
To breathe is to hope and to hope is to breathe.
What will be your last hope?
What was your first?
When is always an easier answer for breaths,
Not so easy for hopes.
Do we hope instinctively, a reflex of the mind,
A beating of the soul?
Or, does hope require something more intentional?
Are there two kinds of hope, like there are two kinds of breathing?
Automatic and conscious.
To breathe hope and to hope to breathe.
These days with the wars I wonder…
Is it
Breathe. Hope.?
Or,
Is it
Hope. Breathe.?
Which comes first:
Life or the thought of living?
Someone else thinks of you living.
Someone else thought of you living.
Life of course!
Life is always first.
Life is always the foundation.
But the after life is all about hope.
Your hopes. Those who hope for you.
God’s hopes.
And the after death?
Well, let’s hope there’s only
After life.
Hope. Breathe.
