Sisyphean love
I come back to
you.
You laboriously push me away
Hoping to roll me over the other side of the hill
Yet, as you reach its top
You overwhelmingly realize that
If not me, somebody else.
You embrace the duty,
That you are meant to carry love
Eternally.
If not my love, then someone else’s love.
So, you fool the gods,
And let me go.
I come back for you.
You laboriously push me away
Hoping to roll me over the other side of the hill
Yet, as you reach its top
You overwhelmingly realize that
If not me, somebody else.
You embrace the duty,
That you are meant to carry love
Eternally.
If not my love, then someone else’s love.
So, you fool the gods,
And let me go.
I come back for you.
